I arrive well before active labor when possible, offer hands-on and hands-off support through early labor, active labor, and delivery, and help implement your birth plan while remaining flexible to changing circumstances. I also offer practical guidance on coping techniques, comfort tools to bring to the birth space, and reassurance for partners so they can participate confidently. After birth I stay to assist with immediate postpartum support—breastfeeding initiation, newborn settling, and debriefing—plus provide resources and referrals to help you transition into parenthood.
